About Us

Tyler Colwell, P.E. is a Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer with more than 35 years of experience in commercial HVAC design, mission-critical mechanical systems, and forensic engineering. Colwell ECS provides two complementary services: project-based HVAC design consulting for engineering firms, architects, and facility owners; and expert witness / forensic mechanical consulting for law firms and insurance professionals. Drawing on decades of hands-on technical design and real-world system performance evaluation, Tyler identifies root causes, solves complex mechanical challenges, and communicates engineering concepts clearly and objectively.
